Will Ferrell announces Anchorman 2 on Conan O'Brien

Ron Burgundy has made it official: he’s making a comeback.

Burgundy is the audacious and politically incorrect lead character of the 2004 comedy cult classic Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, played by comedian and writer Will Ferrell.

Ferrell, as Burgundy, announced on Conan O’Brien Wednesday night that there will be a sequel—but not before an epic flute solo, followed by a classic faux-pas. Ferrell/ Burgundy strongly suggested to O’Brien that perhaps it was time for a little plastic surgery.

“So, basically, you came on my show to play the flute and insult me, that was the idea?” said O'Brien, laughing.

“No,” said Burgundy/ Ferrell. “I came on this show to announce to everyone here in the Americas, to our friends in Spain, Turkey and the UK — including England — that, as of oh-nine-hundred mountain time, Paramount pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy, have come to terms on a sequel to Anchorman.”

The audience went wild.

Deadline Hollywood reported that Judd Apatow will co-produce along with Gary Sanchez Productions, Ferrell and Adam McKay’s production house. Original cast members Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Kechner are slated to return. Christina Applegate was also in the original, but no word yet on whether or not she will appear in the sequel.

The industry site also says the creative team is still working on ideas for the upcoming film.

Rihanna has poured cold water over claims she is secretly dating Ashton Kutcher.
The 24-year-old singer insisted she was 'single and happy' at a photocall in London today when asked if she was romancing the Two And A Half Men star.
It comes after the Barbados-born star was spotted leaving the actor's Hollywood home at 4am on March 22.

Rihanna became defensive when a British reporter asked her: 'You're so good at connecting with people that I think that we actually feel we know you. Things are clearly going brilliantly in your career. I just wondered if you are as happy in your private life, and will we see a certain Mr. Ashton Kutcher perhaps making a trip over here?'

The Love The Way You Lie singer then responded: 'Wow, how disappointing was that question?'
She then went on to add: 'I'm happy and I'm single, if that's what you're really asking.'
Rihanna appeared at a photocall with her Battleship co-star Brooklyn Decker, who outshone the singer in a sexy cut-out dress.

Rihanna swapped her rude girl style and raunchy stage get-ups for a ladylike dark olive green frock as she attended a promotional event for the film.

The outfit showed off her petite frame with the cinched in waist, as she covered up with the knee-length hem.
She even kept her make-up natural, while her bleached blonde locks were worn down wavy with her fringe forward.
It was a far cry from her usual get-ups, and she even posted an image of herself on Twitter on the same morning, wearing a baseball cap and stuffing chips into her mouth.

But as she stepped on to the rooftop of London's The Corinthia Hotel for the shoot, it was actress Brooklyn who wowed.
The former swimwear model, 24, stood out in a black and white frock with criss-cross patterning, that showed off her skin with mesh cut outs.
And she showed off more of her legs with the shorter cut, while her spiky heels elongated her physique.

Decker's make-up even stood out more as she went for smoky eyes, while she put her blonde hair into a messy ponytail.
The female stars of the upcoming movie were clearly in a girly and giggly mood as they broke into laughter as they tried to pose for the cameras.
At one point Rihanna even put her head in her hands as she failed to contain herself as Brooklyn giggled by her side.

And they had clearly bonded on set as when they reunited they burst into hysterics as they faced each other, before they managed to take a couple of serious shots.
It must have been the sunny weather that gave Rihanna her boost, as she wrote on Twitter: 'The weather in London is unreal #LilMissSunshine.'
They were also joined by actor Taylor Kitsch, who stood between the ladies in a dapper black suit with a shirt left open at the collar.
And director Peter Berg was also on hand as he donned shades and a suit, but opted for a red tie to complete his ensemble.
Decker plays the female lead of Samantha Shane, a physical therapist, in the highly anticipated sci-fi film, while Rihanna takes on Raikes, a FBI espionage agent.

And Kitsch plays Decker's onscreen boyfriend, Lt. Alex Hopper - a naval officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones.
The film is due out in the UK on 11 April and 18 May in the U.S.

Stallone half-sister "fight against advanced lung cancer"

The Hollywood hardman's half-sibling Toni Ann D'Alto, 51, is in the advanced stages of the disease and is resting at their mother Jackie's Beverly Hills home, reports Britain's Sunday Express.

Speaking of the pair, Jackie says, "She has been the little angel he's tried to guide through life."

It is the second time in a year that Stallone has suffered a cancer tragedy - his father Frank passed away in July (11) after a battle with the disease.
